We are so thankful for the contributions Recycle Pots and Pans has made to our organization- Community Refugee and Immigration Services. Each month, we welcome new neighbors from all over the world and have been fortunate to provide our clients with pots, pans, cooking utensils, dinnerware and more! Pots and Pans has helped new families in America cook dinners for their families and assimilate into life here, and for that, we are forever grateful!
We have been cleaning out my mother in laws house since she moved to assisted living. Since hearing about your organization, I have been setting kitchenware aside to donate. Where can I drop these items off? I live in Stow, so bringing them to Kent is not a problem. Thankyou
Hi Pam, thanks for reaching out! You can drop off kitchen items at 632 Temple Ave., Kent, OH at anytime under the red awning on the side of the building. Please let us know if you need anything else. Thank you!
How roughly used is donated cookware allowed to be? I have a soup pot that I scuffed with my immersion blender, and I am not sure if it is safe to use anymore. It has a nonstick coating, but I am fairly certain it is not Teflon. I can verify later once I take a look at the user’s manual.
Hi Maya! We will accept your items in any condition. If we can’t use it, i.e. we do not feel it is safe to use, we make sure to move it on to someone who can re-purpose it. Our goal is to keep kitchen items out of landfills. Please let us know if you have any other questions! Thank you!
I have a lot of plastic shoe box-type containers with lifs as well as a few other larger plastic containers. I thought they would make great holders of silverware/utensils. I will be dropping off kitchen items soon. May I include the plastic boxes? Thank you for providing this incredible service.
Hi Linda, sorry we did not see this before! To answer your question, yes we will take the plastic containers! They will be great for organization of smaller items. Thank you for your support!
Do you accept mason jars? I have ended up with a very large collection and wanted to donate some jars or various sizes.
Yes, we take mason jars!
I have more stuff coming to you but before I drop things off at Temple, I was wondering if you would like cookbooks for the people you are helping. Let me know! Thanks for all you all do.
Hello Linda and thank you for your donations. Yes, we do take cook books!
